I dropped the mounts 3/4 of inch and Zd the frame 1inch modified the crossmember under the oil pan and had to grind the top of the draglink everything is lined up and clears. i know every one zees 1 1/2 and drops mounts 1 inch. i guess all trucks are different.

Yep, they are all just a little different. I didn't have to lower my mounts at all, which saved me a bit of work on the other stuff in the way.

I wanted to make sure everything cleared so I can run a stock hood! 3/4 of an inch probly wouldn't mattered!

Looks good. I like how you did the mounts. Any pics of the drag link you modded?

    Bumper

No the bumper is just sitting there I put it up there just to see where I was at! Looks like after a 2 1/2 inch body drop the bumper will set flat on the ground!

Ok, dumb-nubie question here: Why do you want to lower the motor mounts when you are going to lower the truck? I know making sparks as you go down the highway is cool and all... But I don't think the oil pan is the best part of the truck to get those sparks from. From the pics it looks like the mounts were raised, thus making the engine higher in the engine bay. Is this right or am I missing something?

Guys who really know correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you drop the mounts because when you body drop it the body moves down so you have less clearance between the hood and engine, so you lower the mounts to regain clearance.. Hope that makes sense!

You got it. People do this for body drops to keep a stock hood. He mentioned that earlier. And if you look closely the engine went closer to the frame on the mounts.

I just want my truck as low as possible! I want it to lay the rockers on the ground! I'm not one to drag my truck! I've spent way to much time and money! I want to cruise around tucking half the wheel 1/2 inch off the ground! I also don't like a lot of lift! I want it to raise up enough to drive and steer! I also like very quite air valves! I did lower the engine mounts to keep the stock hood! I'm trying to build a clean and simple ride! I got out of the scene bout the time everyone started dragging the trucks!
