Anyone know where to find a new driveshaft for a 2wd pickup? The yokes on mine are oval shapped and ruined. How the previous owner did it I have no clue, but I'm tired of messing with it.

You might try Carolina Driveline. I have both front and rear drive shafts from them on my jeep. They have reasonable prices and ship very fast, also they carry spicer u-joints. You should give the a call tomorrow (864) 597-1916.

    Basically you have 3 options...

    1) Find a reputable drive line shop (probably the best end result since they'll balance it too)

    2) Salvage yard for one then get new u-joints. (probably your most affordable option)

    3) Drive shaft companies online. (they'll probably need specs from your current one)

    I'm in Louisiana bro...

I'm going to take this shaft to a local shop tomorrow and see what they tell me.

Update: Dropped the shaft off at a local place that has been in business for years, but mostly work on 18-wheeler and american stuff... They also custom build drive shafts so they will be used more in the future!

Anyways the guy looked at it and chuckled. He said he will hone the holes out a bit and should have in done in an hour or so. Gotta bring him a $20 bill and we are even...

Ok got it back from the shop and the shaft isn't bent. New U-joints in and moving how they're supposed to.

Wow, he's stoked, now he can get a 2 pack of beer or a hamburger minus the fries and drink. Still $5 more than most would do these days. :waytogo:

Seeing as I paid $50ish total with U-joints and labor instead of 300-500 for a new drive shaft I'm extremely happy!
