    Hello All

So, I'm working on getting my side windows to be able to roll up and down. My driver side window is giving me some issues. The mechanism will roll down, but the window will stay quite resolutely in the 'up' position. I can push it down and fit it into the lifitng mechanism that holds it. I have lubed the mechanisms and the races that the window slides up and down in, so it moves easier, but whenever I roll it down, the window will not go with the mechanism (and now the front of it takes a nose dive). I'm wondering if someone would let me know how the window is supposed to be secured to the mechanism (whether by description or by picture). I would really hate to think it is supposed to just 'sit' in there and let gravity do all the work, but I cannot figure anything else out. There do not appear to be any holes in the lifting mechanism and glass to slide a bolt/wire of some sorts through.

    Thanks!

sounds like you may have to re align the verticle tracks for the window, if they dont hold the glass tight that can happen.

you can also adjust the slider piece on the bottom of the glass, move it towards the way the lil plastic wheel goes to pull the front of the window down.

and the only other trick i know is just getting new window felts. or new-ish window felts. on my 75 i replaced them with ones out of a 85 and they work great. they get very stiff over time, and can actually F the regulator.
