i was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the door buzzer when the driver side is open and key is in the ignition.

right now i disconnected the wire switch but i want to be able to use my light.

let me know how i can do this! thanks.

 

disable buzzer only, not wire

 

My truck had a spring wrapped around the little sensor. I pulled it off and it turned the door buzzer off.

 

yaa that doesnt help at all.....

track down the buzzer


pop the cover off, look for teh lil speaker thing

disable it with small dykes or a knife or sumthin

pop the cover back on.


you might have 2 different buzzers, one for the key and one for the seatbelt, some older yotas have 2

 

i wanted to keep one for lights.. ill make a flip switch

 

I wish mine would learn to stfu and go die, its a pain in the ass when you are tinkering with your motor, starting it and shuting it off over and over again

 

door buzzer -key reminder

mine is a 91 double cab with 3L diesel,
i traced the key sensor wire from the ignition switch (a black/white on the top left corner on the connector) that send the signal and cut that off.
no annoying buzzer with key in and door open,all others are working (dome light , key light..)
but the ligts on reminder works
