I'm a little stumped here. I went on a 45 minutes drive (hour and a half there and back) to another town around where I live. On the way there I felt a couple very tiny tiny hiccups as I was cruising along at about 65-70 mph. It only did it a couple times then it drove fine. On the way back it started doing it pretty badly. It only cuts out when it gets around 2,700 rpms and up. If I cruised under that it wouldn't do it. Sometimes it would stop doing it all together for a few minutes before it would start doing it again. The cutting out wasn't consistent either. Sometimes it would cut out a little and sometimes it would do it pretty badly. It runs fine so long as I'm not revving that high. Stop and go traffic in town gave me no issues once I made it back to my hometown. Any advice would be appreciated.
is it a ground wire from the alternator? I had a bad ground wire that was disconnected and regrounds everytime the engine spun fast and caused it. It's weird :/
I'll check it out tomorrow. I hope it's something as simple as that. It's smoking worse as well so it's probably time to start looking into rebuilding the motor.. I wish I had a garage to work in so I could do it myself.
