actually never mind I just saw this pic.. you do pretty good work for a drunk ! lmfao could you PLEASE do a write up on how you did that ? I am about to start my own !
Thanks,I used temp. board screwed in place until the shape held, then remove. Next use long strand kitty hair to build the shape, than short strand to smooth. You could use peg board as the filler would go into the holes giving more strength & a good bound. I used the stock center mounting location & front mounting with some modifying & snap in cover over the center one
As stated above, used the stock console center ,removed the top that opens for storage & built off with the temp. board( same stuff that the peg board is with no holes)! Used long strand kitty hair ( fiberglass) to shape! It is made temp board,& fiberglass ! The inside area where the bass speaker is ,is sectioned off to the volume needed for a 10' speaker!
back burner project here is a project that I started when I was working at a different shop. I had my own keys and fridge to keep my beer cold back then.. I will have access to a properly equipped shop where I can finish it soon though. it started life as 2004 corolla center console bmw style rockers flush mounted in front of the cup holders as soon as my front suspension is under control I can concentrate on the cosmetics of my truck. I will build some new door panels and primer it all one color first though. I obviously have a 89 - 95 gen
The stuff hes talking about is called hardboard or masonite - it is readily available in 1/8" and 1/4" sizes and has flexability and rigidity, all they do to make pegboard is factory drill holes of 1/8" or 1/4" diameter ( 1/4" being the norm )! this makes it ideal for strength and shaping . . . HINT - Use the raw ( uncoated ) tempered for a super bondabilty. . .
wow lownloud.. I just noticed your a freaking mod now ! anyways anyone know of any fiberglass how too videos ?
