Hey guys I;m new to the forum and got my 94 Pick-up 2wd reg cab about 4months ago, I'm loving the truck, used to own a 92 dodge stealth and was looking for a different scene. I already put custom 6 inch speakers in the doors and looking to put more sound in.

Now on to my actual question..

I was looking at doing a simple drop with the loosened torsion bars and blocks in the back. Ill be running black 18's wrapped in 245/40"s but just stock steelies for now. What size drop would i be looking for 2'' or 3''? I don't want to go too low(which i know most of you think im crazy) but i dont want it to look like a mini monster truck? Also do you think I would have any clearance issues when the wheel turned?

will post pics of truck later

I gots no truck, for now
3 inches front and back is a good starting drop. its not too low where you will have turning or real bottoming out issues, and it makes the truck look a whole lot better.

easiest way is a Ball Joint Flip ( there is a how to thread here on the site ) torsions turned down and 3" blocks out back.

good luck with the new addiction :waytogo:

3" will be significant, yet won't pose any problems.

I was rolling around with a BJF/Torsions, and 3" drop block for a while, i liked it. I eventually went even lower and lower (to the point where I had to clear some room :D)

The only thing with a 2/3 drop and runnin 245/45-18's is it will lift the truck a little. I ran that same setup on mine. I would run a smaller tire or 17's.

It's totally worth it....it's 2" of drop with out any loss of suspension travel. Then you can start crankin on the torsions.

The drop spindles are well worth the ride quality. If you get drop spindles and do a ball joint flip, thats good for at least 3" in front. Or you could just crank your torsions instead of the ball joint flip.
