    Next problem.

I turn key to position 2 (on) and the coil/ignitor buzzes.
    Is this normal?

Not sure if the dizzy is from the 20r.
None of the wiring matches the Haynes manual for either the 78 or 83.
The engine is a 22r from an 83 pickup.

The dizzy does not have points as it should, which leads me to believe it is from the 22r.
But it looks to be hooked up correctly.

    Edit:
    I'm a dork.
I forgot I had the charger hooked up to the battery set on medium charge.

But I get no spark when cranking.

Someone should be on here soon that knows about the oem Toyota electronic ignition system. But from what I know the 20r dizzy only had points for about a year till they switched to electronic.

20200327_153647.jpg I think I figured out why I'm getting no spark.
I opened the silver painted box in the pictures above and found this.

Looks like your igniter is shot. Very expensive to replace. Try to find a good used unit. New can run $250.00

I was able to solder for now. At least until I can find another one.
    Now it's getting spark.

Possibly later after it I know it runs.

But I did swap in a coil from an 83ish 22r that is giving good spark.
