    Hello all,

I have a brand new Exedy clutch kit that they list for the 81-88 year model 2wd Toyota truck with the 4 banger. My truck is a 95. Exedy lists a different part number for the 89-95 2wd's than for the 81-88. I thought they were all 8 7/8's clutches for the 2wd's?? Are the throwout bearings different? Will the 81-88 clutch work?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

i dont think so. something about the actual size/contact patch of the flywheel to friction plate i think.
the flywheels are different i believe

also -the throw out bearings may be the same -but the Pilot bearing size may be different, depending on type of trans.

not sure, but makes sense to me lol
