Hello guys im from texas. I'm about to pick up 1981 hilux.

what are the pro and cons about this truck, so I would know what look for?

only thing I know what to look for is rust and engine is running strong.

Cons: Didnt do it!

 

Just like with any other vehicle just make sure its not leaking oil. Make sure the inner fenders arent wrinkled(as if it were involved in a crash at some point) make sure there is no frame damage. And if you have to smog in your area make sure the PO does it before you sign anything

I went to go look at a 83 hilux that was for sale and it was in very bad condition.
daily notice that ever truck I test out the steering wheels are very loose? Is this a easy fix?

Never own a truck but always wanted one.

Yea. Considering its 30+ years old steering is going to be loose

seller said whole a/c is complete but is not working. hope i can get that working really need it
