Burnt valve going to start motor work soon

    Sup guy have a burnt valve on my truck so I'm looking to re do the motor looking to do some mods to it get some power out of it were do I start what are the top thing I should work on anything helps just want some info so I can have a starting point when I get to it

    Well what do you have now? Is it completly stock? If so a cam, header and larger valves will help a lot. Normally I wouldnt jump right to valves but since you have to re-do yours might as well only do it once.

    removal of the clutch fan for an electric fan will help as well as taking out ac and smog pump ( cept you're in cali so don throw that away, you will need it every 2 years. )

    What he said ^ cam/carb/header/rv head works well with theses add ons as well

    what do you mean by burnt valve? bad valve seal? like these guys said a cam will make a differance. A 280 is a good mild cam. you might just want to upgrade to dual springs while your at it. headers are a must. a lighter flywheel will also make a big differance.
