Tha' Silver Slug "restoration" is now underway. I pulled everything off and out of the driver's side door. Right now I am cleaning all the components (window/latch/lock parts). Right now I am looking for all of the rubber parts for the doors. When I do, I will pull the door off, clean and paint it, then replace everything and reinstall. Where's the best place to get rubber parts for these bad boys? The weather stripping isn't too bad to find, but channel rubber and especially window seals have presented themselves to be quite a challenge. Whilst doing the doors, I will be working on getting all maintenance done, including brakes. Also, still cleaning the block. Side note, I have decided to paint the truck hammeright silver w/ black trim/exterior pieces, and I am thinking red for the wheels just because I can't think of any other color that would look ok, except black, but that's boring. If you have any suggestions, please lemme know. Thanks!

Window channel run and belt molding are available on ebay. Got mine there.

Well, FINALLY started pulling the engine apart. So far I've got the intake manifold and distributor pulled out. Having trouble with exhaust bolts being rusted (surprise surprise). But, hopefully will have the head pulled this week. Then the 22r block and the 20r head are going to the machine shop. More pictures to follow. Side note: Can anyone tell me what the bar that I circled is/do I need to reinstall it. It was connected to a coolant hose that the previous owner cutoff and the ports on the manifold that it hooks up to were plugged. Looks like someone welded them shut. Again, more pictures to follow.

That's the exhaust air injection or whatever it is for emissions. In Washington you are fine to keep them blocked off.
