what if you droped the body and left the suspension somewhat engaged. i just got a truck('81 "T-Bone") that i want to drop but i dont want bags. want alright handling and suspension travel but cant afford coilovers yet... (maby a supra front subframe and drop coilovers. then it could be 1/8th sports car.) i dont know why im asking about body drops with out reserching first...but it seems like its the last thing people do to get the last bit of drop out of already bagged trucks...im wondering what if you started with a body drop...
you can body drop a non bagged vehicle... but its a lot of work to gain 2-3 inches .in the new issue of minitruckin in the MAXIMIZED page, which is where readers write in to max fish of bio kustumz, someone asked this exact question. answer was, '' That its a subjective question, but in my opinion there is no reason to bag a vehicle if it isnt going to lay and its wrong to body drop a truck that isnt bagged. Although i wouldnt criticize someone for doing it but i would feel that it was a waste of time'' so yea it can be done but he go's on to say the biggest issue is gonna be your tire/ fender clearance is gonna be your biggest worry
@yota4life- lol yeah that would suck. @trackfox- see in a bagged vehicle thats bodied you have the adjustment at the touch of a switch to make that clearance for you. i say if you wanna do it then go for it. its just a ton of work. and a question for you is how often do you see a bodied truck ride more than a few inches off the ground? I never see anyone ride up higher thats bodied cause it looks a lil funny being bodied and to high.
Ya my old Mazda was Bodied an it barely untucked the tires at full lock up so u learn the routes tht best make u not do u turns or sharp turns haha
