    Just a quick question...

I am reading through tons of threads on doing a static drop. I just want to know:

Has anyone done just the BJ Flip in the front and 3" blocks in the back?

If so, do you have pictures?

What size wheels do you run? (I have a set of Starion/Conquest rims)

Do you have to run shortened shocks?

Do you have to remove a leaf spring?

Thanks in advance! Any other guidance is greatly appreciated!!!

    Phil

to answer your question in order........

i have yet to hear anyone just do the b/j flip mod alone up from to aquire drop. most people do it in pair with either torsion crank-down, or other such as spindles or drop arms..... a b/j flip at most will net you maybe 1 1/2" of drop and is usually not very noticable.

i run the same starion wheels with a 205/50/16 16x7 front and a 205/50/16 on a 16x8 rears.... i am dropped at about 8/6 (8 inches front and 6 inches rear)

in the front if you crank your torsions down farther than 2 inches you will need shorter shocks. if you only do a b/j flip you wont. or, if you do a 2" drop spindle or a 3" lower control arm and a b/j flip you wont need shorter shocks since they keep the shock in the same position and change the position of the spindle or lower ball joint.

if you lower your truck with blocks you do not need to remove a leaf.... if you want to go lower then removing the center leaf out of the pack will drop it some.....

i would suggest you look around the build threads and find a truck you like...... something that looks like what you are trying to invision..... whatever the look you are going for in other words. find out what they have done to get it where they are at...... if anything you can reply to that post or PM the person and ask them personally as well. everyone is pretty cool here so im sure you will get the help you are looking for.....
