I bought a set of Nitro Drop 2 front shocks for me 90 standard cab. I went to put them on and for one thing, fully compressed, they are quite a bit longer than the stock shocks, and the dust cover won't fit up through the lower control arm. What's the standard operating procedure? Are there better shocks or do I just need to grind the spot welds and take the cover off and make a spacer?

Those don't look like front shocks. The front shocks on our trucks have a threaded rod on one end.

The shock in the picture on the box doesn't match the shock in the box. The shock in the box has a straight threaded top with the two bolt bottom. It's the right type of shock, just too big and not sure why.
