Lot's of people bag using stock control arms. But also I think the torsion bars usually get tossed. And triangulating the lowers is used.

if your thinking about attaching the bag at the end of the torsion bar it won't work well, if at all. the amount of leverage is crazy high, and you'd need a super high amount of pressure just to raise it at all.

i did see a truck at bring the noize in like 2008 that used hydraulics to twist the torsions. the hydraulic pressure can easily move the torsions, and since it's solid, the torsion functions like factory.

but remember you can't simply weld a bracket to the torsions. you'd probably need to get some stuff machined to work correctly.

i think bagging it with the stock arms will be way easier for you.

Ya just remove the torsion bars an put on a bag plate on the lower arm. Would be much easier

get better shock absorbers then! even bags need shocks or they'll bounce just as long as steel springs. I have fronts for a chevy 1500 for the extra valving for a 4500lb truck. slightly smaller but it still hits the bump stops before maxing the shocks either direction and only mod needed was dremeling out the lower holes 1/32" wider spacing.

This is how the previous owner did the shocks on mine, weird looking setup, but it worked for 5 years so far. Im redoing it of course when I z and body drop mine here next month. This is the only pic I have right now, after I finished rebuilding the motor...
