This is my old 91 v6 xtracab 4wd... been parked for 3 years. Needs a fuel line and a clutch... anyone interested let me know... body (other than the doors) is perfect and the frame is really nice 196,000 miles The blue truck with the red hood is an 84 I originally got to rebuild but the moron I got it from never sent me the title... oh well I never finished paying him, so not bad for $75 The blue fender (stole them off the 84) black truck with the gray bed (fiberglass bed which will go on my turbo 4wd) is an 88 truck I was about to finish when I found the 87 turbo 4wd... so I raped the good parts for the turbo and now I am looking to sell it... needs an exhaust and the tail lights re-wired (had a flat bed on it) 207,000 miles ac (needs charge) 22re tach gauge (reads 147,000) Click to see the slideshow
what no comments! So I am looking for opinions on what to do with the 86 turbo 2wd I could fix the headgasket put my bed on it and sell it... or.... I am thinking of a full out project 95 4runner frame with a SAS rebuild the motor and put a garret t3-4 on it.... fiberglass bed sides hung on metal frame with no actual bed aluminum fuel cell etc etc
yo ill buy the silver one from you..You said it needs a fuel line and a clutch right? thats all thats missing? pm me with what you want for it..I can pick it up anytime
Tragic ! Totally tragic, I dam- wished I had a fleet like that. A true enthusiast, LUV IT !, Ide say get that turbo fixed up, sounds like you stole it from someone for that price ! Im big on the 84's - 88's mostly, but, truly would love to have stock like that ! Congrats ! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2619563
Can't do both with one truck?!?! Well the 86 fixed... hmmm... I have about 900 in the truck so far 800 + gas to go get it... it was a 7 hour round trip and the bed is worth about 500... so like it is with the bed about $1,500 fixed at least another $1000 oh and as far as reliable... I have heard both and I guess have both my 87 4wd is original with 147,000 miles but the 86 blew the HG at 85,000 So like anything it is how you treat it... There is definately more chance for failure with a turbo and it eats more gas... but dam boost is FUN! I am addicted already!!!
