ok ok ok... i am new to the toyota world..dont know $#!T about em..but i only know and we all agree that we all love and enjoy driving our reliable babies. I need help please.. i have an autometer tach lying around in my garage and i want to use it on my horny green 1993 22R-E 2WD pickup with no tach. i think it would look cool, but from reading and reading where all the wire goes, all i know is where the green tach line goes. some members use the digital clock wires and i would like to use them since i dont have a darn clock, but since those wires are in no "use" i would like to make "real good" use of em.. i see 4 colorful wires . mix color green, mix color red, mis color blue and mix color blind... (can tell what it is) can any yota lovers help me pls?

I'll take a stab at this....

Your tach should have these color wires: Red, black, white, green...

    Red- Switched 12V+ source.
    Black- Ground.
White- Dash light (for night driving).
Green- Negative side of ignition coil or tach terminal next to the diagnostics box on passenger fender well.

All you need from the clock wires is the 12V+ wire. You'd have to use a test light to find it coz I don't know which one it is off the top my head...

*Note: Double check your tach if it has a selection switch for 4/6/8 cylinder operation.
