Planning on changing the transmission fluid and filter in my 94 toyota. Pouring over the haynes manual and it mentions something about the bolts in the pan being torqued to a proper spec. This is of course not mentioned in the manual. Anybody know what it is?
Theres no section with torque specs? Or if the book is split into sections they might be at the beginning of each section. Id check my haynes manual but i loaned it to my friend..
HA!!I found my manual under a pile of clothes!! Yea it doesnt say a dam thing bout the pan bolts. So im guessing just tight enough for a proper seal.
Just referance whatever they say to put the engine oil pan bolts on. They often use the word sump when talking about oil pans. 15-20lbs is about the norm. Too tight and the pan warps and doesn't make a seal.
