Choke on the stock carb has died and I haven’t found a source for a new replacement. Would be interested in purchasing the choke or whole stock ASIAN carb off an 18-RC.

How did the choke die? Bimetallic spring break? Clogged heating source? I don't remember what heat source is used, exhaust or coolant, but both can get clogged or even corrode to the point of leaking.

Celicas and Coronas had the same 18RC set-up.

I might have a carb from a 2TC in my garage so if the spring is broken it would be good for you, same carb, but the heater is electric.

    The spring has snapped.

The heat source is off the exhaust header and seems solid, mechanic also double checked that and the spring being the issue. Thanks for checking for the T2 stock carb, good to know the spring is the same with electric or manifold provided heat on these units.

Have you considered changing to an electric choke?
