Ive been looking but I cant find the right factory timing for an 88 22r with a 5spd all my books say check under the hood. well if mine hadnt been wrecked umteen times it might be there

Im having distributor issues so I want to make sure the timing is right before I accuse it of being garbage

thanks bye thats about where its at

jd snake I dont think its advancing under a heavy load because I can drive around all day and the enginge temp is at normal but as soon as I pull a good size hill it heats up but once Im on a flat it cools back down
then here afew months back I had to tear down my distributor because it would stick in advanced so it wouldnt idle down so I took it apart and use dielectric grease on it and freed every thing up but the other day I pulled the vac lines off and it didnt change the idle so Im thinking its sticking again

ok I brought the timing back to 8'btdc and that made it run hot all the time to the point I didnt know if Id make it around the block with out it over heating (its 5.5 miles around my block)
and it pings like a bitch out of the hole so Im realy starting to think I need to scrap my ditz and go for a new one
