So I want to do the upgraded alt/batt wiring while I have it so accessible now. I have seen where people do the 1 wire alternators and all...here is my question. The plug that connects to the back of the alternator...has I think some white wires, red ones, etc.

What are those wires for? If the people who do 1 wire alternators, what do they do with their plug? Can it be eliminated? Truck is a 94 22re...

If you want a quick and easy to replace upgrade for 120amps. Check out what I did HERE. I like being able to get a replacement easily if it ever goes out. Plus it uses the same plug our trucks have. No need to splice.
