Looking for a little insight: I finished installing my drop spindles and flipping the ball joints on my 89 pickup and as I got to reassembling everything I realized that my alignment was way off. To the point that I could see it by the way the rotors were pointed. When passenger side rotor/wheel is straight, driver is turned to the left slightly. Wondering if the change in spindles could cause a need for major adjustment/alignment to fix this?
use a taught string across tires front and back to see how straight you are/aren't - it should help you do a "self alignment" and get your toe setting pretty close, which is the setting it sounds like you're concerned with. you'll probably have to take it in to get fine tuned and for the camber/caster adjustments.
The spindles caused a toe out condition. I had to adjust my tie rods about 5 turns shorter when I ran drop spindles.
Check the relay arm..i think thats what its called..mine was shot and caused the same issue...there used to be a recall on them but i doubt toyota will still fix it..i paid $100 bucks....with out it the wheels would move in diff directions when off the ground or if you hit a bumo..i noticed mine as soon as i did the spindles and ball joint flip...when the car is in the air move on tire and see if the other side follows or has lag
