so i am lowering my truck 3/3 and i went to lower the rear, and there is like a isolator plate with rubber on top and bottom of the leaf... so took that out and went to go tighten my u bolts down to 80 ft lbs... and they started to pull through the perch..... and i cant run the isolator because the pin that goes into the block is way to big... just wondering what you guys did.... i also tryed running big washers on the u bolts after pounding my perches straight and they did the same thing... any ideas... thanks... and my rear block kit is a advance auto special.

I know of that crazy thing you're talking about. I haven't messed with a truck with one yet though. 80 ft lbs is way too tight for the u-bolt plates on these trucks, they'll bend. Try 55 ft lbs. If I was at the salvage yard where I saw the truck with that thing you're talking about I'd have better info on what to do. Maybe I can make you some custom blocks? Can you post a pic or 2?
