Sup guys got a 93 Toyota pickup wit a 22re accelerates fine if I'm driving normal. But when Im driving the truck hard I can't shift into the next gear and floor it, it will bogg. I have to shift it into the next gear light on the throttle then it will pick up fine. Even sometimes out of first it kinda struggles I was told its my clutch but wanted some more input. the motor has compression and it was recently tuned up any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if it's not to clear of an explanation feel free to ask me anything that'll clear things up thanx in. Advance

I dont think its a clutch issue. most likely vacume leak. or an efi issue

Yea don't think your having a clutch issue those are pretty easy to spot and feel . Things to check mas air meter and the tube between the throttle body and mas meter for leaks . The mas air meter itself may be faulty . Timing check just to see if your close to spec vacuum lines inspection

If U think it's the clutch as in u floor it shift hard into second and the truck bogs out and doesn't pic up till u let back off the gas and give it less throttle . ? Your photo looks like your lifted on decent size tires I would think the clutch would really let u no in first gear if it was slipping

in australia by law we are not allowed larger diameter wheels than factory option, 28" on hilux although 31 and 33's are often fitted.
the reason for this is how it effects the characteristics of the vehicle, anyway when larger tires are fitted without the changing of diff ratio to suit, the engine is subject to load at revs it is not either built or tuned for and the engine relies more on torque than full throttle horse power.
in an old carb engine a regraph of the distributor and a smaller carb would be fitted to solve the issue and achieve engine ideal optimum power, as example with a road speed of 60mph at say 4,500rpm in fourth it could be now down to around 3,200rpm.
i could explain things such as dropping back from like a 650 holley to a 350 and air speed, as you state not being able to full throttle and the adjusting of timing-regraph ( http://performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67164397-Distributor-Regraph-Specs ) so that it is better suited for lower rpm, but as it is efi and a computer you could see someone that can dyno tune or just remove the big wheels and see how toyota originally built it to be.

or put a V8 in it.

    edit
Code Power kW (hp) Torque N·m (lb·ft) Years
    22R-E 84 (112) at 4,600 rpm 192 (142) & 3,400 rpm 1985–1995

i have 5R engines in stouts and they can not handle 5 speed gearboxes/transmissions
    106 hp (79 kW) at 5,200 rpm and 125 lb·ft (169 N·m) at 3,000 rpm.

    later edit
the toyota stout RK 100 series not sold in the US only RK41 were, had the same diff centres as land cruisers with 6.1:1 ratios instead of the cruisers 4.1:1 and many stouts were sought after for there diff ratios as a cheap option to solve such issues for extreme off road use and rock crawling were larger the better tires are used.

with the 1979-83 model hilux 4X4 many here fitted an australian made 253 4.2l or 308 5l holden V8 as it was the largest legal options at the time to replace the toyota 18R. they were a nightmare as the V8 did not like the high revs, 5 speeds were hard to obtain and the best option was to fit larger 33" tires that were illegal

Hey guys thanks for the input I checked the timing it's on 5 wit the diag shorted, intake tubes r cherry, no vacuum due to elimination of egr ( truck was doing this before I removed it), still gotta check plugs and maf sensor will get back wit the results...

The truck in my avatar is not my current truck sorry for the not clearing that up...

And thanks for all the input really appreciate it...
