? About turbo

    i got a swap in mind so i wanna go turbo what can i do 20 or 22?

    If he has a 20R or a 22R and wants to turbo it, he can do either one, doesn't really matter what the engine is in body wise other than clearance limitations.

    sorry what i meant was what motor would be best for a turbo set up .my truck is 74 hilux 18rc good but will be looking for motor swap soon.i was wondering what block would be better or combination? doing this slow so try to pices it togeter sorry guy some times i blurt it out and come out wrong lol:looney:

    both blocks will fit in the truck with some slight modification to the engine mount brackets. I would turbo the 20R cause of the double row timing chain and the better flowing heads... Less boost + more power with better flowing heads.

    As for a kit or anything like that, i cant help ya there. I havnt seen any kits to turbo the 20/22r, and i highly doubt that if there was, that the intercooler pipeing would fit a 74.

    I got a 73 btw, did the 22r swap, not horrible to do just took a lil time and measuring.

    I hope you're not looking for tons of power but either motor would be fine. Me personally, i'd atleast try to do a 22re though. Fuel injection makes a world of difference when you start boosting stuff.
