there’s probably an answer to my question on here somewhere but i haven’t found it, so I just replaced my alternator and battery and it was starting fine at first but after a couple days of driving around the truck it cut off on the road and wouldn’t even turn. I haven’t tried to jump it but I’m sure it would start. I’m guessing there is a problem with the alternator charging the battery, if anyone knows how I can fix this please let me know, maybe I can wire the alternator straight to the battery I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking. The truck is a 1984 2x4. It is my failed driver and I need it to run soon. Thanks

Check all the connections as that was the last thing you did!!
Read voltage at the battery, if below 12.5 charge the battery !.
Check that you have a good ground!
Once you get her to start, read the voltage at the battery while running,it should show a increase in voltage if not it is the alternator!
