Ok, what muffler sounds good on a 22r?
I know that 4 bangers don't sound deep or throaty, but what do you guys run on your rides?

I'm looking for a nice mild sound, just something where i know its running. no pop or chainsaw sound. just a little more deepish sound.

Previous owner had a new one installed and its so quiet, it sounds like a hybrid..lol

Aww the sounds . . . I run the 4" round s.s. Magnaflow part #14445. I run it from a stock exhaust manifold - cat cut out - and upgraded 2" exhaust pipe. My plan is to run a Doug Thorley header after I rebuilt the top end hopefully next spring. I like the sound, not ricey, not DEEP, just enough noise to wake her up and way less restriction than my previoud muffler/cat . . .

Ya, don't want any drone at all...i have to drive it 30 miles every day to work.
(60 round trip at 65 miles an hr)

So I don't want to get anything loud, or with anything "annoying".

Driving the 81 everyday till i get my s10 fixed is annoying enough...

. . . Anyways, The magnaflow is a nice sound, mellow yet lively ( you decide with gas pedal ) anything is better than the stock putt putt w/cat. . .

Preturbo on my Celica I had a Raptor (cheap LOL) turbo muff, and a glasspack in the cat location, on 2" pipe. It sounded great and wasn't too loud. With the turbo I have just a generic turbo muffler (supplied by the muffler shop) on 2 1/2" pipe, which sounds good too.

I have a flowmaster on my 93 & its pretty damn loud, but i like it. On my 89 I have a hooker Maxflow which is great as well. With the flowmaster its straight loud, (real loud). With the maxflow its quit when your cruisung unlike the flow, but when you rev the engine or start getting on it, youll hear it. Seems to make the engine sound like it revs faster.
