So the A/C is not blowing cold, not sure where to start this is what I know: In the car I can hear the mixer door shift when I change it from hot to cold A/C clutch engages when I turn A/C on and it stays on, but the sight glass on the receiver drier does not have any bubbles moving, just a streak or 2 of green dye. (But why would the clutch stay engaged is where i'm lost if there is no r-12 in the lines?) Its still the r-12 system, i'm looking to refill the system with some freeze 12 that I have on hand but I don't want to waste it I only have a few cans. Any thoughts on the issue?
Sell the r12 cans then convert your system to 134a. Much easier to get. You probably have a leak which will use up your r12 if you try to fix it.
