my truck suddenly does not want to start, battery ok, when I turn the key on,dash lights up as usual. My starter never gave me any trouble before, but theres no sound other then a ticking sound coming from the fuse box thats in the engine compartment !! The ticking sound stops, when I turn back to the off position.any suggestions ??

 

probably something wrong with the starter. more specifically, the contacts inside the starter.

I've heard its kind of a common problem; hopefully a more experienced member can give you better information

 

Starter solenoid... Starter for sure. Thats what it sounds like to me. Piece o' cake
