4X4 and 2X4 tail shafts are different. Not sure you can make that work. The job would be more intensive than just changing the tail housing. I believe the 2WD output shaft is longer and can't just be moved to a 4WD trans. Try calling "Marlin Crawler" (559) 252 7295. Nobody knows Toyota transmissions better.
