86 Pickup, stereo options?

    '86 Pickup
    Do I need a mounting kit to get a regular stereo w/o the knobs? I think the one that came with the truck isn't working.

    85 regular cab longbed 22R
    I used one for my 85. The CD player was a wider than the opening so it came with a black metal plate to trim it out with. Only downside to the one I got was I lost the tray below the radio.
