I found this to replace my 78 that was totalled out. 80K, and $2500. I have a stroker cam and some Mustang rims that will be first on the list to install, if it ever warms up here.
Ranger, I'm exited to see you get another truck. And a turbo, ataboy! A quick note, look into using the cam on that engine before swapping. I could be wrong, but I believe a turbo cam is different from a N/A cam. The lift is different. Call LCE Tech support and ask . They will give you an educated response about usage. Never the less great score
Cam I talked with engnbldr and he informed me it should work just fine. I will however contact LC and ask them as well.
That is awesome! I wish i could find a 22RET. I would like a manual transmission, the automatics just do not drive right when they are turbocharged.
New turbo Just installed a new Honeywell ATS200-82 running BP2197 oil and a new Honeywell pneumatic valve with 4" SS down pipe. Just kidding. You think these Toyotas are confusing.
Belltech drop spindles I installed the drop spindles this morning. There's some things that need to be addressed when performing this operation. I will add photos later. with the standard 14" SR5 turbo rims, the dust cover for the brakes needs to be trimmed at the front. When installing the new spindles you don't use the Knuckle arm. So, the two bolts that go through the dust cover are not used as well. The new Belltech spindles have threaded holes that you must fill with new fasteners. Also, both wheels toe out and need to be realigned. Just some thoughts on this type of swap.
Nice Wow truck in nice and clean. Would be great if it was a standard to see what that turbo could do.
Lowering This with 2" drop spindles and 1" blocks in the back. The 2" blocks made the rearend rub around tight corners.
The leaf spring bushings might be worn out if the back rubs in corners . Or could be the tires too big
