Ijustreplaced the coil, cap and rotor and the pick-up coil, still wont start. I took the plug out and grounded it on some metal and i didnt get any spark. If anyone might have a suggestion please reply before my truck ends up at the bottom of a lake

hey buddy, welcome to the site. you may want to post your question in either the off topic area, or in the 78 and prior section to get a bit more exposure to your question. im not all too familiar with what the older trucks run for ignition systems... but i'd start back tracing from the plugs back and see where the spark or signal stops.

Well it could be the igniter failed. It triggers the coil. Get a test light and make sure power is going into it. It can be frustratin keeping the old ones running. I have a 78 too.
