My wife and I are trying to turbo this 77 Hilux.
It's too much for me to type so I'll be posting videos of the problems we run into and accomplishments we have with it.

Will be having a motor rebuilt with all the guts I'm still acquiring. @Justin Danger thanks for the 22reprefomance turbo pistons. Looking for rods now but only find the eBay H beams to be available at this time.

The plan is to make the engine beautiful and leave the truck rusty. It's too much to fix. The floor is still there and I've seen worse frames so we're lowering it and we'll rock what we got.

    The beginning..

Yeah I love blasting my stuff. Repetitive parts are no fun. I work at a metal finishing shop. 15 years. We have a plastic blaster and a glass blaster.

Cut the trans cross member today and blasted it.
I'm going to bolt a plate to the Xmember that will place my w58 mount in the correct location. About 1 to 2 inch back. Need to get my trans bolted up to measure exactly. But bolting it will allow me to go back to the w50 if I have to or want to for some reason in the future.

I re posted this thread in the correct section. I didn't realize this was the pre 75 section.
