My 77 hilux Is confusing me so much. For the headlights, which 2 common for low beam and which come one for high beams?? Or do some have 2 filaments in them?

Should be single filament each bulb. Believe outer is low and inner is hi beam...

    Any ideas why that is?

Switch has a short? Is it a foot switch or on the column?

Do me a favor, measure the headlight for me? Wondering if it is a 5.5" or 7"...

    Thanks

It's a pull knob on the dash with brights being pull back on turn signal stick. Could it be a bad ground?

    The lights are 5.5"

Or short in system. I'd start at the lights and work back.

Turns out nothing is wrong with my headlights. My voltage regulator was going bad messing with a lot of stuff, so I replaced it, and never checked if my lights worked after that. They work! I just need a new headlight as one low is burned out.
