Trying to find some info on this 6spd transmission from a 05+ taco. Seams it is an ra60. Wondering if its the same r series trans as the r151f from a 22ret? Use the bell from r151f on the ra60. The Tacoma sites don't really cove anyone trying this as of yet mainly for the 22r motor choice. Wanting to move up to a r series trans over the w56 that I have in it now. The r155(5spd from a05taco) should most deff work. Any info or links would be great. Thanks

Why not just get a w58.. I'm trying to see the point of going 6 spd on an engine that does 5500 rpm, low hp and minimal torque.. I just don't see the advantage.

the cost of mating a 6 speed to a 22r doesn't make sense when you could get a rwd beams 3sge ( 200 hp) with a 6 speed Trans for 1300-1600.

Having come from the 4x4 end of all things toyota I'm still finding things in the 2x4 world that blow me away. This is a prime example. Later model beams with 6 speed trans and wiring harnesses are all over ebay. To hell with the 2rz I've been thinking on!
