Hello, I've got a 1992 Toyota pick up 2wd 5-speed. I've installed a '01-'04 jdm 3rz but now I'm having some clearance issues with the oil pan hitting the steering drag link, sway bar, and cross member. Even dough I have the short oil pan. I think I'm going to fabricate my own cross member but I still need to figure out the rest. I can't seem to find any 3rz swaps for 2wd pick ups, so any info is much appreciated. Thanks

As you can see, it's not by much but still a big problem for me. I plan to drop it with Bell tech spindles and I'm not sure if that's going to maybe worsen the problem.

Is there enough space inside the pan to hammer the clearance into it?

It may look different in person, but it looks like u have a little room to spare above the intake manifold?

Can u shim the engine up a bit?

Hello everyone, I haven't had time to work on my truck, but yeah I will try shiming it up this weekend.
I'm not sure about banging in the oil pan.

As for the mounts, I already have these installed in my truck. I bought from chilkat. Perfect fit.

If you have the room @ the firewall/trans tunnel, I'd rather deal with modifying the hood than losing my sway bar and dealing with all of your clearance issues, lol.

I'm super curious how this turns out btw, lol.

I've been dreaming about a 1uz, but CA smog has me leaning this direction.

Any updates on this? I'm thinking about doing this to my 91. I have pretty much every part needed because I was gonna 3RZ swap my 85 4Runner. Now I'm thinking I want to do it to my 2WD 1st.

I have the same issue, for the cross bar I just cut and welded a plate lower, now I am going to tackle the sway bar and center bar link.

On my swap I just raised the engine about 3/4" and hammered the back of the oil pan in a little. Been daily driving it for almost a year with no issues.
