I blew the engine 3 years ago, and the truck sat for a year and a half. When I got around to fixing it, I found a crashed 87 yota' with "rebuilt" 22r on craigslist. I bought the truck for $900, swapped the engine into the 90' and sold the shell with toasted engine for $400. Throughout the last year or so I put around 35k miles on the engine upgrading as i went with bolt ones like an Engnbldr 270/430 cam, cheap used header, and a used electric fan from an Excursion. I bought a Weber 38DGAS with Downey air cleaner for $150 out here in San Diego I later added a bunch of exhaust goodies from LCE like their Pro Header, and full exhaust kit. I also picked up a DUI distributor which is probably worth its weight in gold. The engine is so responsive and always cranks right up. When I blew the head gasket, i bought Engnbldr's StreetRV cylinder head, Offy intake, and threw in some ARP head studs. I am slowly working the bugs out of the engine since the new parts and Head Gasket replacement, with the help of you guys on the forum Tell me what you think. Please excuse my haggard wiring, its going to be taken care of next.
