i'm having 22re issues.the fan belt is lose.i lost the water pump and the thermestat.it also has oil around the head gasket and a exhaust valve tick.my dad wants to put a new 22re in it.but i can't work due to disibilty issues.so i want to buy a used 1975-1978 toyota pickup or 1977 datsun 620 pickup.i can replace the motor next year.any advice???

 

um...search for a running one cheap on craigslist. i think it would be cheaper to have a shop put an engine in the truck rather then buying another one though...plus what happens if the second one breaks since you are looking for such an old replacement? then you are really screwed.

my advice. drop a new 22re into your truck. where are you located, there are tons of people selling motors, and plents of shops to install em.
