I bought this 74 Hilux about a year now. I'm doing a 22re conversion. Need helping identifying some plugs to the body harness near the Ecu. So far I have done disc brakes conversion off a 85 pickup. Lowered the car with 3" blocks and used a stock mighty max springs but will get the belltech one to have lowered alot more.

Can someone identify these plugs near the Ecu. The wiring are from 85-86 pickup but I notice the body harness has no plugs for the Ecu or starter relay.

Sweet project. I wouldn't expect the truck to have matching plugs since they never came EFI. Someboy should be able to help guide what goes where. I've always been curious about the swap too.

Thanks. According to the person I bout the engine harness, body harness, fuse box harness that it came off a 85 pick up. The only issue I'm having is that the body harness doesn't have the 14p plug to the Ecu and starter relay. Also neeed to identify those plugs rather tracing each wire which I may have too.
I'm replacing the whole wiring since the original wires are hacked up and brittle.

Gotcha. You have the body harness from the 85, maybe the guy hobbled together 85 EFI and non EFI harnesses. Some guys should chime in soon with more info. At least from guys with those era trucks that can help trace plugs for ya.

I decided to add the 14p Ecu plug and a starter relay plug. I also decided to hide all the body harness inside fenders. Then run the engine harness under the floor pan.

Glad you're getting it sorted out finally. Should be nice having EFI in the old body.

The two yellow plugs near the ecu should be the ones you are trying to figure out, the dark yellow plug is your power wires, smaller plug might be combination meter wires/igniter wires. All else are irrelevant to getting the car started, 14pin ecu plug is the afm wires

Since I'm tucking the harness. I decided to get rid of the radiator and electric fan that came with the truck. I made my own shroud with 11" puller fan

    Any updates?

Any updates with the swap. I am in the process of installing a 22re to my 75.

I haven't done much since I'm also doing a 3sgte motor swap to my 88 mr2. I still need to do the fuel pump, route the battery and extend some wires.

That's some handy work with that radiator shroud. I'm liking the progress. :waytogo:
