Going from a weber back to stock carb for smog. Carb is rebuilt and got it running but have an issue think it's related to the fuel pump. With the key on, the pump is on at all times. Is this correct? Is the needle valve/float the only thing stopping the flow of fuel into the carb? What's happening is even with the fuel level half way up the window in the carb, i'm getting fuel seeping out of the seam where the two carbs halves connect. Which is way above this level Seems like it's also seeping out of the fuel inlet bolt but maybe it's just from the other spot
Ok from research looks like they operate off an oil pressure sensor through the fuel pump relay? I'll see if I can check that out. Also see people mentioning if that isn't working you can wire the fuel pump through a switch. Then you just turn the pump on/off as needed?
