This is just what I've learned in the past year from different people that I couldn't easily find on the 'net:

    - 20R / 22R can use either backing plate / flywheel / clutch assembly, they will directly swap as long as you use all the same engine parts (so use all 20R parts if you're swapping to a 22R from a 20R and don't want to buy all new parts)
    - 20R / 22R distributors will swap, just use the corresponding ignitor and wiring.
    - valve cover swap, but that's pretty easy to find online.
    - When installing a head on the 20R/22R make sure to add silicone at the transition from the front of the block to the timing cover on the head gasket, these are prone to leaking otherwise. Found out the hard way on this one.
    - Balancer / pulley will swap, same crank for 20/21/22R.

    And some random stuff:
    - Unless you want to drop the centerlink, you have to lift the engine to get the oil pan out on a 2wd. Again, found out the hard way.

Please feel free to add to the list, all this info would have helped me over the last year, hopefully it helps someone else! :waytogo:
