Twins can be obnoxious sometimes.... But so can a burned up compressor from lack of maintenance.

The only problem I can see with a engine driven pump is, if your engine has a problem somewhere in town and you need to have it towed, or put on a trailer, you won't be able to raise the suspension to get the clearance needed to get it on the trailer and home.

This is why the old PTO winches and other goodies that ran off the tranny aren't as desireable off road because no motor means no wiinching, unlike sucking some juice from the battery or batteries while the engine is shut off to winch or fill air. I know these are worst case scenarios, but still something to consider.

Isn't the York pump that really sweet huge one that costs an arm and a leg? I saw one at a car show a long time ago.

btw..I use a Viair 450C on my 4x4 and it's been great, with the exception of taking a while to fill the 5 gal tank, but filling four 37" tires will do that. I'd love to add another, but that means another $250 or probably even more these days.

Beefdtaco your thinking of an oasis comp which those do cost like 2500-3000grand but they fill fast like an engine driven. But if you want engine driven look into sanden 708s or 508s with those you can do a grease conversion an don't have to worry about the damn oil. I have one sitting at the house tht I need to put in

Sanden grease setup would be nice but how reliable is it....grease breaks down under hear and does it always have too be torn down too regrease?

From what I've read ppl use it a lot an its pretty reliable. With the York your still going to have to oil it every few days an need an oil water separater/inline oiler. Which cost rises. Grease conversion you just had every few months and you use a high endurance grease. Ill look up the one this Guy used he said its the best he's found so far
