Well, nows the time to start the build thread, figured it'd be after the first of the year, but I cant wait. Im in middle Ga, and drove to almost North Carolina to get this truck, bought it for 1500, and have plans on a full bagged/bodydrop/z'd frame show truck..Ive built 6 Toyotas, this wil be the 7th, and Im pulling out all the stops. Even considering Lambo doors...

Here it is as it was when I bought it.

    Stripped the front clip..

Before I removed the torsion bar, sway bar, shocks and bumpstops..

    After:

Now with the 4Runner fenders and hood:

Now the plans are to get the cab off so I can clean it good, paint the frame, Z the frame, and get some oil leaks on the engine fixed, add a clutch while Im in there(throwout bearing is whining) and powdercoat pieces and get some new bushings on the control arms...

    TO BE CONTINUED:.....

Man you have no idea how many times I referenced your build pics for where to cut the fender wells and such. Then after it was cut. I thought well when I body drop it and Z it, I'm gonna have to cut more. It's better to be conservative and cut as necessary than wish you hadn't hacked it all out now there's nothing to weld to.

    More pics in a bit.

Heres the inner fender after I cut it...about an inch of clearance at the peak of the tire..

Glad my pix helped. I wish I had more reference material when I was doing mine. If you bd and z you def will have to cut some more. Especially if you wanna run bigger wheels. Lets see some more pics! Your other links are weird... My I suggest photobucket?

Not around here anyways. All the shows I attended with past trucks here around Ga had none. It's a shock factor I think. One that those not in the know feel like took a lot of fabrication to pull off, hence more points...still undecided though.

Well, its been 1 week now since I have owned this Toyota..and its come a long way. Im ready to get to that point where Im not tearing down, and everything is modifying and building. Today, I slept in, and with daylight savings time now, I dont get much light from noon to 5 lol. All I did today was get the bed wheel tubs drilled/cut out and I started disconnecting the cab from the frame, I slapped the bed back on just for kicks..
