Hi All,

I recently bought a JDM 1993 Toyota LiteAce pick up. It is a low milage former Japanese “firetruck”. It currently has 17,000 km which is roughly 11,000 miles. It has a carbureted 1.8 liter 2Y gasoline engine, 4x4, and a 5 speed on the column. It is very fun to drive, and I get funny looks and thumbs up all the time, and can’t make a trip anywhere without people asking questions. It runs well, but does have a few quirks I will get to in a specific post…

 

I would like to add that I would be interested if anyone with a Hilux with the same engine has info on where to get parts, parts interchanges, or manuals, that would be appreciated.

It is a LiteAce. They are nearly identical to a Town Ace. I am not really sure what the difference is. Some models have the three-sided drop-down beds like most mini trucks others like mine have a standard pickup bed with the tailgate
