I have for sale a 1988 Toyota Truck, 3VZE engine, 4WD, Automatic Transmission, about 235,000 miles. If none of the photo links work, truck is pictured in my signature to the left.

My contact info: Terry, phone or text on 559-363-0003, email is [email protected]

Truck is located near Fresno, California. Can be picked up or I will deliver up to 300 miles for $0.75 per mile and a plane or train ride home. Truck passed California smog in April of 2017.

The truck was owned by my father for the past 20 years or so, when he could no longer drive the truck came to me (about 3 years ago). I had various dings fixed and the truck painted (its a Jeep color, Dozer Yellow from about 2013) at that time. The head gasket went a few years back and that was fixed. A new starter about 6 months ago. The truck is pretty much completely stock except for an aftermarket rear bumper.

Known issues: a knock in the front suspension with hard turning, gas gauge registers full when gassed up but goes to empty after about 50 miles of driving, speedo is lazy sometimes (when its hot) but in general works, turn signal stalk a little loose, cracks in the left front axle boot.

After the head gasket replacement started getting the dreaded Code 52; I had a mechanic open it up again and install a new knock sensor and pigtail but the problem persists. I hope to find a solution to this before the sale; so far I haven’t been able to fix it. The engine doesn’t actually knock at all, as I understand it a Code 52 means that the on board computer is losing signal from the knock sensor.

Truck runs fine around town and on the freeway, starts easily (a little harder when very cold). Paint is in good shape with a few blems here and there. Interior is OK, I replaced some broken dash pieces, has an aftermarket radio installed. The seats are in fair shape under the yellow seat covers.

Accepting offers for the truck over $5,000, please feel free to contact me with any questions, and thanks for looking !
