well here is my little project im working on. its a 1983 RN34 with a 79' front grill and lights. it currently has a 22re swap and is dropped to the frame, literally. plans are to restore it and get it looking nice like it should. the plan is to make a copy of my other car witch is a AE86. what i mean copy is basically same color, rims, interior and MOTOR. i plan on dropping a 1uz in the thing but have no idea what is going to be involved (i know what is needed for swap parts) as far as cutting and or welding as i dont really know much about these awesome little trucks. any info will be awesome!

just got her home with sibling Trueno just in front

you can see i already started sanding the bed and is already rusting. just surface rust though

rear sits on frame so i will need to find out what i can do about that...

also pulled off everything else that was left except the front lights them selves and front bumper. looking for replacement light trim and passenger fender light.

Love it! on the 1uz swap, I plan on doing the swap as well. So far the only thing I've come up with is you need to weld up some mounts. 84+ pickups have mounts you can buy and I'm not sure if we can use those. I think the mounts are the same but the holes on them are different. Not sure still researching.

The way I'm going to go about it is buy a junkyard motor and ecu for around 300 tear apart replace gaskets etc etc. You're going to have to shell out for the adapter plate. W58 are cheaper than r154 and work with are trucks fairly well. I have pictures of the newer swap mounts that I will use for reference to make my own mounts. I'm sure you will spend close to 2 at most 3 grand but all worth it of course. :silly:
