Hello all, Name's Eric I'm 21, Live in the Mountains of California have for most my life. Got in to Toyota's at a young age, Helping paps work on his 78'20R (Now mine) then the 88' 22RE it blew up at 360,000 no surprise. Now it's my turn to fix up the 78 Toyota Hilux. I got most the service and tune up work finished on the 340,000 mile 20R Just adjusted the valve lash today an I will be posting in the 76' Build up section soon. Thanks all for reading
Welcome, Eric!!! Looks like you are enjoying working & being around Toyota's. Just like me. I'm in San Jose, so give me a holler if you are ever in the South Bay or in the vicinity. Rick

welcome! i daily drive my 81 sr5, usually about 125+ miles daily, everything from stop and go traffic, to 85mph highway driving!
77' Celica Thank's all! Well I got another Toyota figured I would share with everyone, Got back from Oregon this morning the car was a steal had to have it. 77' Celica with 132,000 miles
^^^ Very cool, Eric! ^^^ I've always liked these RN29 cars. Much better body style than the coupe. Every one I see on the internet has a missing center console or it's a black replacement. My friend from Cabe Toyota in Long Beach has an orange one too. Rick
I just had to own this car, Fell for the car the moment I took a spin. The interior has seen better days, Back seats are fine and so is the dashboard. Tachometer/Speedo have warped needles, The dash cap was thrown in back along with almost every single interior panel. Part of the center console is still onboard the interior is already half black the rest is tan I'm going with black. As for the engine I was thinking about hunting down an 152E or 18RG If not I will work with the 20/22R hybrid. Lots of time and work left inside just hoping I can hunt down the OEM interior parts... That being said I can't find any body damage at all and for 1800$ cash after the ride home over 2k.
Luckily some of these interior trim pieces pop up on e-Bay, Eric. If you search using 1976 or 1977 Toyota Celica and also Toyota RA29, these items may pop up. I know for sure that the "leather-like" shifter boot is available. Gee...you make me want to get one now. I still plan on locating a 1980 Toyota Corona liftback 5-speed for another old school Toyota. Let me know if I can be of assistance! Rick
