Maxima seats cleaned up ok, found a decent center counsel, headliner, steering wheel, rearview mirror, door panels, etc from a newer toyota. Ordered a few engine parts too.

I bought another engine last week so if all goes as planned I may sell all the engine parts I ordered for the 20R that are in the picture in the previous post if anyone is interested. They are all still in the boxes. Sneak peak of the new mill coming

Awesome build. Only issue I think you'll have is using the later steering wheel on your column. 78 was the last of the old spline counts then they changed. There are aftermarket hubs available for those wheels tho.

The steering wheel bolted right on. Not sure what year the vehicle was, looked like late 80's early 90's . I better double check it though-dont want it to fail at 70mph down the freeway. Planning on leaving body and paint original and doing interior as quiet and comforting as possible. Engine came from a late 80's factory RTE powered rig. He daily drove it for 23,000 miles and is updating to a V8 so hopefully it ends up being a reliable motor for my '76.

I have a '89 SR5 22RE 5spd extra cab parts truck. Would the '89 rear diff fit in the '76 axle? I figure the gearing would be taller and suit the power of the modified 22RTE better. How about transmission?

Road tripin to pick up the Built 22 RTE tomorrow. Eight hour round trip across Minnesota. Coldest-snowiest winter i've seen in the 42 years ive been here. Hope all goes well.

Thinking about using a fuel management setup. What would be best for a project like this? (76 truck+87 turbo mod motor)

    Mega Squirt ECU or
SDS complete setup with ignition and handheld from LCE
